TAKE NOTICE that the County of Dufferin will hold a Public Meeting pursuant to subsection 22 of the Planning Act to hear public comments on a privately initiated County official plan amendment prior to the County making any decisions at a future meeting.
THE PUBLIC MEETING will be held in-person on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the New Horizon’s Room at the Mel Lloyd Centre, Entrance F, 167 Centre Street, Shelburne. The agenda for the meeting will be posted on the County’s website on the Friday prior to the meeting. As this meeting is for the purpose of receiving feedback from the public on the proposed official plan amendment, no decisions will be made by Council at the meeting.

NOTICE OF COMMUNITY MEETING
REDEVELOPMENT OF THE CHIPWOODS PARK COMMUNITY
You are invited to a Community Meeting to discuss the redevelopment of the Chipwoods Park community located at 476240 3rd Line in the Township of Melancthon.

Meeting Date: Tuesday, August 12th, 2025
Meeting Time: 5:00-7:00pm
Meeting Location: Horning’s Mills Community Hall, 14 Mill Street, Melancthon, ON, L9V 3G6

The purpose of the Community Meeting is to provide an overview of the redevelopment proposal and to receive the community’s feedback. A presentation will be provided followed by a question period to review the proposal, share feedback, and ask questions of the applicant and the project team. Please note that no Council decisions have been made with respect to these applications and a statutory Public Meeting will be scheduled for a future date.
PLANNING APPLICATIONS:
The planning applications will propose to redevelop the existing Chipwoods Park community with a permanent, year-round, residential community. The proposed redevelopment will provide for approximately 224 new leasehold residences on modernized servicing, including new stormwater, sanitary, and water infrastructure. A mix of home sizes and configurations are proposed, including two and three bedroom Homes. The proposed redevelopment will also include resident and visitor parking spaces, an improved internal road network and on-site amenities, including private parks and a refurbished community hall and recreation centre.
Chipwoods Park is located on the west side of 3rd Line, south of Dufferin County Road 17, and north of Side Road 5. A location map of Chipwoods Park is provided below for your reference:
