DECLARATION OF SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT

Pursuant to s.16.9 of O.Reg. 239/02 as amended, the Township of Melancthon is declaring a Significant Weather Event in respect to blowing snow and reduced visibility, starting at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025 and continuing until further notice.

Users of the roads in the Township are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and to use caution if doing so.

The Township will issue a public notice when this Significant Weather Event has ended.

Road Construction Notice:

260 Sideroad from 2nd Line SW to 7th Line SW (Riverview) is currently undergoing reconstruction. Access is available to Local Traffic Only.

May 1, 2025 – Half-load restrictions have been lifted on all Township roads.

Friday, March 7, 2025 – 10:00 a.m.  – The Significant Weather Event Declaration has ENDED.

DECLARATION OF SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT AND PAUSE IN SNOW CONTROL OPERATIONS

PLEASE NOTE: the Township is pausing snow control operations at this time due to zero visibility until further notice.

Pursuant to s.16.9 of O.Reg. 239/02 as amended, the Township of Melancthon is declaring a Significant Weather Event in respect to blowing snow and reduced visibility, starting at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 and continuing until further notice.

Users of the roads in the Township are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and to use caution if doing so.

The Township will issue a public notice when this Significant Weather Event has ended.
