Fire Permits - *NEW*

If you are unable to get to our office during business hours (Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and closed Fridays in August), and would like to apply for a fire permit, please click here to print off an application.  Please fill out the required information (exact location, including emergency number, name, address and telephone number) on page 1 and sign the application on the last page and email it to: firepermits@melancthontownship.ca or fax to 519-925-1110.  If you choose to pay by online/telephone banking, your account number is the first 15 digits of your property tax roll number.  Please allow 3-4 days for processing as the payment must be received by the Township before the permit will be issued.  The cost of the fire permit is $15.00 and is valid for the calendar year.  Once the information and payment have been received, Staff will issue the fire permit a number, sign the fire permit and email or fax it back to you.  If you are not set up for online/telephone banking and wish to drop off the payment to our office, please use the after-hour drop off slot located at the front of the building. 

PLEASE NOTE: THIS PERMIT IS NOT VALID UNTIL A PERMIT NUMBER IS ISSUED, IT IS SIGNED BY A TOWNSHIP OF MELANCTHON STAFF AND PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.

ALSO, IF YOU ARE A TENANT OF PROPERTY, YOU MUST PROVIDE WRITTEN CONSENT FROM THE OWNER BEFORE THE PERMIT IS ISSUED.
